Check out the NACF Luncheon and Planning Meeting on March 3rd. If you are interested and can attend, please let us know. All perspectives are welcome!

The mission of NACF, a non-profit organization, is to purchase and permanently protect one of the last remaining intact farms in North Amherst: the 37.8 acre farm owned by the Dziekanowski family for generations. This farm is a valuable asset to the densely populated and diverse community of North Amherst and beyond. Saving this farm will ensure that the land continues to be productive, provides open space, and enhances our quality of life and community. An Agricultural Preservation Restriction (APR) will ensure that this asset will forever benefit future generations.

If we act now, this beautiful farm with its fertile soil, views of Mt. Warner, wetland stream, and wildlife corridor will not be lost to a large subdivision. Click the link to the right to make a tax-deductible contribution online or through the mail.

The vision of NACF is to cultivate this farm as a unique community resource:
*NACF will be a hub of community life while maintaining the integrity of the wildlife corridor and the natural landscape. NACF will ensure that the access people have to the walking trails through and around the farm continues. NACF will create more equitable access to fresh, organic produce for the 10,000 people living within a 1-1/2 mile radius of the farm. NACF will strengthen the bonds within a diverse community through its educational and cultural programming. NACF will raise awareness of the connection between food production and distribution and the health of the environment. NACF will keep prime local farmland in production.
